Things that happened while I was working today:
-Today was the last day to get stuff out of the old store.Oddly enough the next door eye center was moving today as well. While throwing stuff out via the back door I was greeted by one of the eye center people yelling about Doctor Who.I was wearing my logo shirt so it's not like it was an aura that i was giving off. While talking to him he kept telling me he liked the episodes from the start when they talked funny.I had no idea what he was talking about but was happy he was a fan.
-We had boxes full of defective guitars and other things sitting in the store still. The boss told me to destroy all of it so no one would try and resell it to us.Standing by the dumpster bashing guitar hero/rock band guitars in the rain was pretty fun.The Doctor Who fan stood ten feet away and watched me as I did this.
-I overheard a man calling his girlfriend/wife "dickball".I'm sure it is a loving nickname and all but ,well I don't know what to say.
-I went to the hardware store to pick something up for the store. While there the cashier I had was very happy to see my Doctor Who shirt. He told me all about how much he liked Jon Pertwee as the Doctor.I held up the line talking about the new and old series. As a goodbye he held out his knuckles for me to pound in a cool fashion.
-I went and bought new shoes.
-After writing a note on the DS we had in the display case saying that we had other colours available I realized that I used the English spelling of color and wondered if that would confuse the customers.Thinking that it would i left it.
-Enjoyed having a woman tell me how she doesn't mess with ghosts.
-other stuff and then I went home!

this entry was dedicated to the cybershades.

No way they brought Tom Atkins out to give a small Q and A. He talked about Carpenter, halloween 3,how night of the creeps was his favorite film he did. He even brought Fred Dekker out to the premiere in California for this. He even told about his two worst dates and how Vincent Price once told him how great he was while shopping for pastries.Great free showing up in Chicago, everyone should watch this in 3D since it won't be nearly as great once its on dvd.

1.At work today one of my favorite customers from the other store came in.She used to dislike me for some reason or another until she found out i liked Buckaroo banzai and then we bonded.Oh i think she thought i was rude one day or something.Well she came in with a friend looking for me for a Doctor who question.IT was fantastic since as i was explaining something to her another customer stood a few feet away and stared.Kelly asked if he needed help and he said he also had a Doctor who question for me.Neal said i should be teaching a course and maybe we should advertise my Doctor Who knowledge for the store.
2.Since I've been the manager at the new store I've been trying to do a few things my way.One such thing is setting up a random movie section. This month is movies with aliens or Tom Cruise.I came up with the next few months ideas today, since i want to change it monthly and all.Soon it will be:What a two years 1993-1994,Mel Gibson or sport cars,Sandra bullock or Magic stuff, and Dance movies or Sam Jackson.

sometime around 5:30 this morning my grandmother passed on.after the last post things kept getting worse.about a week ago most of my family from buffalo showed up to say last goodbyes.i thought it was going to end that day, after each person had a few minutes with her my mom,her sisters, and her brother were going to be there as they took off most of what was keeping her alive.a few days later she ended up in a hospice here in town where my mom,and three of my aunts kept her company around the clock.by this point most of her body was shutting down and she could hardly speak.in a few days my mom will be going with my aunts to bury her ashes back home in new york.
after work when i went back to my moms it was weird for my aunt to talk with me about what will happen when my own mom passes.its something i suppose that you should be aware of but it weirded me out.with my grandmother gone, its been nice having two of my aunts around.besides my aunt that lives across the street from her we dont have any family in the state.i hate the idea of my mom in that house all alone again, just as she was when my father died.
thanks should be mentioned to everyone who stopped by my work or wrote me to see how things were going.sorry i havent really written anyone back yet.oddly enough my friend russ had his grandmother in the room next to mine at the hospice.sadly she passed away today as well, sorry russ im thinking of you.
i dont think ive mentioned this but as of two weeks ago i moved again,if anyone needs to know where to just ask

The thing is it was 11:10ish and i was getting ready to make pizza before i went to sleep.I had come home early from work so i could hang out with Mike some more(by the way Mike is here visiting right now from B.NewYork).Around this time Mike came back with our friend Jason T and they wanted me to leave.Since Mike was in town for one more night i could not refuse. We along with Jasons friend went to a bar down the street from me.This is all filler i suppose so i will skeep to where Mike decided we needed to sing karaoke. My first thought is Judas Priest,"painkiller."My second logical thought was DANZIG.Of course the only song there was,"mother".We put the request in and plaued Ultimate Mortal kombat till they called our magical names.I should point out the bar had at best 9 patrons ,two bartenders and one dj.The three of us all got mics and were instructed to look at the screen next to the charming gent running the dj table.Mike made a joke about a smoke machine and sure enough the man like a brilliant stage manager started the bars very own smoke machine. It was bliss singing DANZIG with the lads, covered in smoke.I imagine later this very night each of the other 12 people in the bar went home to download that very song so they too can enjoy the memory.I dont like bars but that was a nice experience.
